Landowners and conservationists agree--what we do to help our rivers begins on the land. Streams are valuable assets for the people and communities in the upper Clark Fork, as well as vital and vibrant corridors for fish and wildlife.  Given that nearly half of all land in the upper Clark Fork is privately owned, landowners play a crucial role in the stewardship of our irreplaceable waterways.

Our Landowner's Guide to Fixing Streams on Working Lands in the Upper Clark Fork Watershed, produced in partnership with the Watershed Restoration Coalition, gives a plain-language explanation of what landowners can do to improve water quality and stream health, all while keeping the landscape productive for livestock and crops.

Download the Landowner's Guide to navigate the "who, what, and how" of fixing streams: diagnosing the problems, designing the right solution, and finding the money and technical know-how to get the job done.
